C & H Contractors, owned by Ross and Suzanne Riegel, is based in Cascade, Idaho. We specialize in conventionally framed custom homes incorporating log and timber frame accents. We also have experience in commercial and light industrial projects. C & H works exclusively in Long Valley, an area encompassing McCall, Donnelly, Cascade and Lake Fork. Our focus within this area gives us intimate knowledge of building conditions, subcontractors, regulations and climate -- factors that can make all the difference in the success of a project.

Milestones and Affiliations
Since its founding, C & H has grown to 30 employees and completed some of the area's premier projects, recent projects include:
  • Custom homes for Jean-Pierre and Nancy Boespflug, Rod and Jeri Walz, and others at the new $1.5 billion Tamarack Resort, where Mr. Boespflug serves as CEO
  • Construction of the first three structures at Tamarack Resort (Trailhead Café, Owyhee Rock Creek Cottage and Mountain Control Building)
  • Four high-end homes at Blackhawk on the River in McCall
  • Subcontractor for concrete and framing on the Ashley Inn in Cascade, ID
  • Projects with architects such as Ruscitto/Latham/Blanton of Sun Valley, Kevin McKee Architects, Design Resources, and Trey Hoff Architecture of Boise, as well as Epikos of McCall.
Our expertise in high-end residential construction has been recognized with designations as a Preferred Builder at Blackhawk on the River, Tamarack Resort, and an upcoming subdivision on Lake Cascade. We have also been named a "Qualified Orvis General Contractor" by Rocky Mountain Log Homes.

One of the most important advantages of building with C & H is our ownership of Habitat Custom Construction of Cascade, offering exquisite finish carpentry including log smith abilities. This special relationship gives our clients' homes priority status with some of the area's most skilled craftsmen—at a time when they're extremely hard to find. We’re also proud to own Momentum Steel, an authorized Builder for Rigid Metal Building Systems used for airport hangars, storage, and agricultural buildings to name a few.
